Edisen Ushers in New Era with Anas Ghazi as Chief Commercial Officer

Jul. 11, 2023

Edisen, a platform-based production company, has appointed Ad Industry Veteran Anas Ghazi as its Global Chief Commercial Officer. Anas will spearhead commercial strategy, product marketing and industry partnerships. With his experience of the creative and technology industries from executive roles as CEO and Board Director of WPP’s Data Alliance, Growth Officer at Kantar, and Chief Strategy and Affiliate Officer at Stagwell, Anas will further Edisen’s mission to provide storytellers with an all-encompassing powerful video platform to give everlasting life and craft to their ever-evolving stories.

Backed by a history of producing award-winning shows, Edisen is continuing to revolutionize the film and content industries by introducing its AI powered storytelling platform to create, produce, and evolve top-notch, reusable video content. The platform empowers quick and efficient collaboration between brands, storytellers, and craftspeople, creating the right blend of complimentary human and artificial intelligence.

Leveraging machine learning, the connected intuitive design of Edisen's Workshop, Studio, and Platform production suite features smart automated processes from creative ideation to ever-green production. This ensemble production solution set significantly reduces the time and effort required to produce stories across all formats, allowing more time for humans to be creative. Features such as meta-tagging, Edisen Video Intelligence, Adaptations, and collaborative tools have been built in allowing filmmakers and storytellers to create and evolve stories that are tailored specifically to their audiences, while being able to change backgrounds and visual elements using visual effects (VFX) eliminating re-shoot’s. Edisen’s industry disruptive approach to storytelling with the ‘just right’ blend of human creativity and technological efficiency has been leveraged by progressive brands including Netflix, PBS and, most recently, Remy Cointreau.

Anas said:

"This is my coming home story. As a teenager I was an on-camera talent, and now, I return as a creative-minded commercial strategist behind the camera with people of purpose. At Edisen we’ve found the sweet spot between master and machine where we are focused on unleashing environmentally sustainable, industry disruptive and technologically connected platform-based production capabilities that empower people to craft better stories."

Jacques van Niekerk, CEO at Edisen said:

"Anas is an authentic and coveted blend of worldly understanding, passion for creativity, and a deeply data-driven mindset, complemented by his appreciation for the power of technology. Anas's proven ability to collaborate across borders, astute commercial prowess to build businesses, and nurture relationships with a refined human touch makes him one of our key leaders in driving Edisen's future growth."
