On December 1, 1965, Wilhelm Fahrenkamp and Hermann Gärtner laid the foundation stone for what is now one of the largest furnishing companies in Germany. Today the 8000 member team is managed by the next generation of the family, Birgit Gärtner and Achim Fahrenkamp, alongside the holding Chief Executive Officer, Dr. h. c. Jürgen Gerdes.
