World War Seven Promotes Sloane Skala to Partner and Managing Director

Jul. 07, 2026

World War Seven is thrilled to announce (only 6 months late) Sloane Skala's promotion from EP to Managing Director and Partner, effective immediately, and retroactive to whenever she started doing the job anyway. In this new role, Sloane will continue doing what she’s been doing since she joined the beloved boutique comedy house in 2022: scaling World War Seven’s impressive breadth of work and thoughtfully growing its roster, all while maintaining their OG David vs. Goliath mentality.

Behind that punk-rock approach is a mindset that Sloane takes seriously. It shows up in how she leads the team in every production, every problem, every new relationship. And, as World War Seven expands its talent and the scale of its work, that ethos doesn't shrink to fit — it grows with it. For Sloane, that starts on a WW7 set, making it a place people actually want to be, and never losing sight of the reason everyone got into this business in the first place: to make cool shit and have fun doing it.

Skala remarks:

“As we’ve grown and changed in the 4 years since I’ve been here, the time was nigh to take on a role with more of an eye towards bigger picture plans. I actually accepted this new role as of January 1st, and I just literally forgot to tell anyone because we’ve been so busy all year (#humblebrag). I will always make time to tell the world about our directors and the work they’re doing, but I totally forgot to hype myself up, too, until some recent articles credited me as MD, and I got a bunch of congratulations texts.”

Since Sloane joined the team, World War Seven has made some big moves, including the addition of their Entertainment division, a partnership with MindsEye for UK representation, a new EP/HoP in the form of Kat Garelli, exciting new talent added to the roster, and the creative AI lab, WW8. They've expanded into longform narrative, with films like Alex Ross Perry's docu-comedy Pavements, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, created bespoke cinematic universes like "Legend of the Lizard" for Geico and "Wake Up With CrAIg: The Movie" for AT'T Business, and brought back casts and characters from nostalgic favorites like The Office, Home Alone, and Beverly Hills, 90210 for majorly successful brand campaigns. All the while, World War Seven has continued to earn industry-wide praise as “the nicest people in town” and set the standard for humor in modern advertising.

World War Seven Co-Founder and Partner, Josh Ferrazzano, says on promoting Sloane:

“When David and I started WW7 many moons ago, our mission was to build a company and a culture known not just for great work, but for great people. Sloane embodies that ethos on every level. She is all in on this job, this industry, and, luckily for us, this company. She has raised the bar higher than any of us realized bars could be raised, and she makes it look EASY. But I promise you it is not. Behind the scenes, her dedication, relentless work ethic, and uncompromising commitment to excellence have kicked themachine into overdrive and inspired the whole team to dream bigger.”

David Shafei, Co-Founder and fellow Partner at World War Seven added:

“If you went into a lab and tried to engineer the perfect Executive Producer, you'd probably come out with someone half as talented and half as cool as Sloane. Sloane is one of the most completely ‘production’ people I've ever met. She's been making things since she was a kid. She was producing music videos at 18 and has spent her entire adult life in this world. She fiercely advocates for directors and the craft, but she also has a real empathy for the pressures agencies and clients face. She understands what it means to be a crew person, and has enormous respect for the people who actually make the work happen, from cinematographers and gaffers to sound mixers and production designers to the person running craft service at two in the morning."
