Volvo Car Brasil Teases Competitors' Cars Recharging At Its Charging Stations
Dec. 17, 2021
A pioneer in electrification in Brazil and a leader in the plug-in hybrid vehicle segment, Volvo Car Brazil already has around 1,000 free electric charging stations throughout the country. The charging points can be used by customers of various brands who own hybrid and electric cars, and that's exactly what the brand used to thank all those who have embraced electrification in their daily lives.
Marketing director of the Latin America Hub for Volvo Cars, Rafael Ugo highlights:
"From the beginning when we started installing the chargers, our goal was to spread electrification and provide more convenience for owners of hybrid and electric models, both for Volvo cars and any other compatible brand. This activation shows just that, the shared use of our chargers with models from various brands, and this fills us with pride."
The "Volvo Recharge Hijack" campaign, created in partnership with Grey Brasil, goes on air this weekend, from December 10th to 12th, and shows different models of cars charging at Volvo's charging stations, highlighting the versatility and accessibility of the facilities.
Executive creative director at Grey, João Caetano Brasil explains:
"The most powerful tool that exists in advertising is the truth. Volvo leads electrification in Brazil, this means that competitors naturally use the brand's charging stations. So, to talk about this leadership, there's nothing better than simply showing what happens."
The film from the Volvo Recharge Hijack campaign will be shown throughout Brazil on digital media. At the Boulevard Center, in Brasilia (Federal District), the activation will be highlighted on the largest gable in South America. Campaign items will also be present in airports and shopping centers in Sao Paulo, Campinas, Ribeirao Preto, Sorocaba and Sao Jose dos Campos.
