StrawberryFrog Wins Branding/Creative Business for Woody Creek Distillers

StrawberryFrog, the independent, full service, creative advertising agency, had been tapped by Woody Creek Distillers to launch a high-profile branding, strategic and creative project to expand the brand’s marketplace footprint, boost product trials and sales and celebrate the company’s unique position in the crowded spirits marketplace.

Woody Creek Distillers is a women-owned craft distillery based in Basalt, Colorado, population 300, outside Aspen, that produces award-winning whiskeys, vodkas and gins using local ingredients grown within 250 miles of its high-altitude distillery. Every spirit is mashed, distilled and bottled in Colorado—from grain to glass.

StrawberryFrog has been tasked with evolving the brand’s overall marketing strategy, creating a new visual identity, developing a new brand campaign and an additional seasonal or product-specific creative campaign. The work is slated to break in September 2026. The agency won the business without a pitch in January 2026.

The distiller is best known for its ads starring veteran TV and film actor William H. Macy, who owns a home in Woody Creek with an attached farm where he grows potatoes that he sells to the distiller. Macy was named brand ambassador in 2018 and makes steady press appearances on behalf of the brand. In December 2025, Woody Creek released the William H. Macy Reserve Straight Rye Whiskey, aged 10 years.
