RAPP has recruited Emma Hampson-Jones and Nick Roberts as Associate Design Directors in a move to bolster leadership across an expanding design offering at the agency. Both will report directly to Hiten Bhatt, Head of Design at RAPP.

Emma Hampson-Jones joins from Bauer Media, where she was Head of Design. Her recent work includes a branded content series for Adidas called “Walking in Her Shoes” which used social content to drive audiences to fully shoppable articles. The campaign was a media first for branded content and exceeded the KPIs set by Adidas.

Hiten Bhatt, Head of Design at RAPP, said:

“Emma has a wealth of experience working on a variety of high-profile brands. She has led large multi-disciplined teams with energy and an entrepreneurial spirit. I believe Emma’s appointment will strengthen our digital craft capabilities for our portfolio of brands.”

Emma Hampson-Jones said:

“Joining RAPP as Associate Design Director is an exciting step for me. I’m really looking forward to evolving the team with Hiten, for a company that celebrates people’s individuality, collaboration, and making the biggest creative impact. My background is in e-commerce content and media partnerships, I want to work with the team using my experiences to see how far we can push the already great work RAPP are producing. I am passionate about people’s potential and I really look forward to being a mentor and supportive guidance to the team, helping them fulfil their creative ambitions.”

Before joining Bauer, Emma was a co-founder at I Heart Studios, and started her career as a photographer for Net-A-Porter.

Nick Roberts joins from Saatchi & Saatchi, where he was Associate Design Director, working on clients including BT, EE, Deutsche Telekom and Direct Line. For BT, he was recently Design Director on the Hope United campaign, tackling online hate and encouraging the nation to be good digital citizens.

Roberts has also worked at OgilvyOne, Rapier, Design Bridge, Bulletproof, Heavenly, and Bray Leino.

Bhatt said:

“Nick was part of my team at OgilvyOne. I’m very pleased to work alongside him again at RAPP. Not only is he an exceptional ‘craft’ designer but is an inspirational leader. I’m looking forward to seeing Nick collaborate with designers in our team to create beautifully crafted campaigns.”

Nick Roberts said:

“The opportunity to join RAPP was too good to turn down. I’m looking forward to working with Hiten and his team and building a culture where craft and creativity thrive.”
