Overwhelmed Postie Stars in Moonpig Christmas Campaign from Quiet Storm
Nov. 19, 2018
A postwoman overwhelmed by the volume of interest generated by Moonpig’s 20%-off festive promotion features in the personalised greetings specialist’s Christmas campaign.
At the start of the commercial, created and produced by Quiet Storm in collaboration alongside Moonpig's in-house creative studio, Jill, the weary worker, is swamped and tired.
Her post sorting room is filled with cards and presents – demonstrating how busy postal delivery men and women will be as people take advantage of the special offer, which offers 20% off when a customer buys a card and present together from Moonpig.
When the voice over (by Diane Morgan) tells Jill that somewhere in the pile is a present for her, however, her mood lifts and she is cheerful by the film’s end.
The commercial was written by Robyn Bowman and art directed by Seb Jamous who also directed the ad as his commercial directing debut.
The TV ad, with accompanying radio work, breaks on November 18 and will run across ITV, Channel 4 and Sky Media.
Gemma Dowler, Art Director at Moonpig said:
“It’s a real joy to work in collaboration with Quiet Storm, who are helping us drive a fundamental gear shift towards our deeper purpose as enablers of care givers. Christmas is the perfect time to send a card packed full of a year’s worth of life lived, and gratitude for the people who enrich it. Given current political divides we feel it’s even more important to remind people of the simple, brilliant things that can happen when we all come together to acknowledge each other’s presence in the world.’’
Trevor Robinson, Founder and Executive Creative Director, at Quiet Storm said:
“It’s always great working with Moonpig, and in this case it’s been even more special as one of our young creative art directors, Seb Jamous, has made his directorial debut. Our ethos of young talent being supported to direct their own work is something we still hold close to the heart of our business at Quiet Storm and I can safely say this guy is a talent to watch out for.”
