OK Go and SpecialGuest Earn Two Grand Clio Music Awards, Grammy Nomination for Music Video "Love"

Feb. 09, 2026

OK Go and SpecialGuest have been awarded two Grand Clio Music Awards for the music video “Love,” recognized in Design Craft and Music Film & Video at the 2026 Clio Music Awards. The work, which was co-directed by Damian Kulash, Aaron Duffy and Miguel Espada, also received one Gold and one Shortlist distinction in the Clio Music Awards.

The wins follow a 2026 Grammy Award nomination for Best Music Video, placing the project among the most celebrated music videos of the year.

Grand Clios are reserved for work judged “head and shoulders” above all others within a medium. “Love” stood out for pairing OK Go’s signature practical choreography with an unusually transparent look at the band’s creative process through a collaboration with Ray-Ban Meta and partners, including Universal Robots, KUKA, and The Project Management Institute.

Created to mark the release of OK Go’s first album in a decade, And the Adjacent Possible, the single-take video for “Love” uses precisely programmed robots to move mirrors of varying sizes in synchronized choreography, producing shifting illusions of infinite space. Fabrics, inflatables, and color fields build a kaleidoscopic visual environment that matches the song’s buoyant tone.

The production was led by 1st Ave Machine, with Executive Producer Andrew Geller overseeing the complex physical execution required to coordinate robotics, mirrors, choreography, and camera in a single continuous shot. The technology integration was developed in partnership with SpecialGuestX, SpecialGuest’s technology and innovation arm, which helped translate the creative concept into a precision-engineered environment where performance, robotics, and POV capture could operate in harmony.

Bassist Timothy Nordwind wears Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses throughout the performance, capturing the entire take from his point of view as well. That footage became one of three official behind-the-scenes films, offering fans a rare, firsthand perspective on how the band’s elaborate productions come together in real time. The other two were generated by PMI and Universal Robots and showcased the action and making of the video from different perspectives.

The video premiered on YouTube with supporting content across Instagram and TikTok, including teasers and BTS footage shared across partner channels. Media outreach spanned major news and culture outlets, while a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert further amplified attention around the launch. Creator Christina Julian also partnered to introduce the work to new audiences.

Within 10 days of release, the music video reached 7 million views on OK Go’s YouTube channel. The music video and the behind-the-scenes videos have, to date, been viewed more than 8.3 million times on YouTube, and earned more than 200,000 likes on Instagram, representing yet another viral moment for a band long associated with inventive, practical-effect music filmmaking for the internet era.
