NIBE Addresses Europe's Energy Dependency in new International Campaign
Jun. 23, 2026
“Energy is no longer just a climate discussion. It’s also a question of dependency, price volatility and security.” That is the message from Swedish heat pump manufacturer NIBE, which is launching the international campaign A Heat Pump is an Act of Independence during London Climate Action Week.
As thousands of policymakers, business leaders and climate stakeholders gather in London to discuss the future of climate action, NIBE is using the moment to point to one of Europe’s most overlooked energy security issues: how we heat our homes.
With A Heat Pump is an Act of Independence, NIBE wants to shift the conversation around heating from mainly focusing on climate and cost savings to also addressing independence, resilience and long-term energy security.
Maria Hägg, Head of Markting Communications, EMEA at NIBE said:
"Today, millions of European households still rely on imported fossil fuels to heat their homes. That makes both people and societies vulnerable to geopolitical instability, energy crises and rapidly rising prices. We hope this campaign can contribute to a broader conversation about how Europe’s heating systems are connected to energy security, resilience and independence."
The campaign launches through out-of-home placements in London, including advertising spaces near major financial and political institutions, alongside print advertising and digital activations targeting policymakers, business leaders and the wider public.
