Meredith Williams Joins Where The Buffalo Roam as Head of Brand Development
Apr. 16, 2025
Creative studio Where The Buffalo Roam (WTBR) has welcomed Meredith Williams as Head of Brand Development. A powerhouse in account management, Williams brings 20 years of agency experience, highlighted by a long tenure at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, where she led the Account Management Department and oversaw the PepsiCo and Frito-Lay accounts. In her new role, Williams will spearhead WTBR’s offerings in the direct-to-brand space, where its notable clients in recent years include Google, Vespa, Nike, Logitech, Webflow, and Stripe.
WTBR Co-Founder Tim Pries, whose long history with Williams dates back to their time working together at eLevel, the post and motion department at Goodby Silverstein & Partners said:
“Over the past three years, we’ve been doing more and more direct-to-brand work, and we needed someone to help us take it to the next level. More brands are building their content strategies in-house and turning to multidisciplinary studios like ours — partners who can seamlessly integrate with their teams from ideation to creation. Meredith ups our game serving clients in this space. She is a true whisperer in client relations and the creative problem-solver brands need.”
Williams, who has led client accounts including TD Ameritrade, Comcast, and Maybelline added:
“With our collective experience on both the agency and production sides, we understand that budgets, expectations, and ways of working have evolved, and today’s content must be produced differently. WTBR is a true partner in helping brands meet these needs, and I’m thrilled to drive that vision forward with their amazing team and clients. And we all believe that we should have some fun while we do it. Somewhere along the way, we lost the fun, and we want to get back to it.”
In addition to ramping up brand partnerships that tap into WTBR’s strategic and creative development capabilities, Williams will ensure that the studio’s spectrum of production services — backed by a roster of live-action directors, editors, VFX artists, animators, and designers — are complementary and flourishing.
Williams said:
“There’s such a wellspring of talent at WTBR. It’s an eclectic crew of artists and storytellers who bring a wealth of experience – a huge asset for brands that want to create fresh and culturally resonant content. By combining creative and production thinking from the start, our teams can work seamlessly, faster, and smarter across the entire project.”
Williams spent 13 years at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, the last eight of which she was Director of Account Management and Global Group Account Director. She began her career in New York City working at Gotham and JWT New York, where she spent three years managing Johnson & Johnson OTC global brands.
Williams concluded:
“I knew my next full-time role needed to be at a place committed to bending to the shifts in our industry right now, and WTBR was the obvious landing spot. They have the infrastructure, the talent, and, most importantly, genuinely good people to make it all possible – just like their motto: ‘Be good people and make good things.’ You can feel it in everything they do here.”
