Mekanism builds on the success of Schwab’s “Own Your Tomorrow” campaign

Aug. 25, 2017

Award-winning creative agency, Mekanism, announced “Binoculars”, their latest spot in the “Own Your Tomorrow” campaign for Charles Schwab.

As the lead advertising agency for Schwab’s wealth management business, Mekanism launched a series featuring anti-hero, Carl the broker, in early 2017. “Binoculars”, the third installment of the evolved campaign, celebrates Schwab’s heritage of innovation, modern wealth management capabilities, and customer service. Recently, Schwab was ranked “Highest in Investor Satisfaction with Full Service Brokerage Firms, two years in a row”  by J.D. Power1.

“Binoculars” spotlights how Schwab continues to champion investors and disrupt the industry, offering award-winning full service and some of the lowest costs in the industry.

The campaign remains true to Schwab’s core values and beliefs of innovating on behalf of investors. Schwab has a differentiated value proposition but that is not enough in today’s competitive environment.

Mekanism Founder & Executive Creative Director, Tommy Means, explaines:

“We wanted to find a way to celebrate how Schwab stands out from competitors. We focused on challenging the notion that all financial firms are the same and undifferentiated, and developed a creative strategy around that. It’s about showcasing why Schwab is unique and a better alternative and adding in pointed wit to help break through clutter and drive action. ”

In addition to “Binoculars” airing on television starting August 19th, the campaign will include print, digital and social executions.
