Let Good Times Roll £32.5m is Biggest Postcode Lottery Prize Pot EVER

Nov. 01, 2024

People’s Postcode Lottery’s December prize draw of £32.5MILLION will be its biggest ever and is set to feature in a new multi-media campaign starring a host of Britain’s biggest showbiz names.

Emma Willis, Fred Sirieix, Tom Allen and Mike Wedderburn star in the all-singing, all-dancing advert which launches on ITV, Channel 4 and Sky tonight (Friday, November 1), asking the nation: Is your door in the draw?

The funky accompanying song Good Times is by 2024 Brit Award-winning dance and nu-soul band Jungle… and watch out for an acrobatic backflip by Fred.

Produced by The Gate it will feature three of the UK’s biggest commercial broadcasters and their channel-specific celebrities.

Last month, People’s Postcode Lottery also launched a brand consideration campaign thanking their 4.2million players for raising £1.4billion for good causes. It starred Ellie Goulding singing What The World Needs Now.

There are 83 edits of the new TV ad – 60-second, 30-second and 10-second versions - focussing on the fact that people love to dance. The ad will also appear in cinemas when Gladiator II opens in mid November.

Media efforts will prioritise breaking down barriers to purchase and building momentum ahead of the deadline to sign up for December. The multi media approach will also feature AV, paid social and direct marketing.

Biggest ever prize draw total means biggest-ever OOH  campaign as well, running at major sites across Britain including Piccadilly Circus, The Cromination and Waterloo Domination.

Anna Russell, Head of Marketing at People’s Postcode Lottery, said:

"The December draws campaign is always a highlight of the year and this year we are dialling up the energy and festive cheer to promote People’s Postcode Lottery’s largest-ever prize pot. Given the success of previous campaigns, we will once again feature high-profile celebrities asking the nation ‘Is your door in the draw? but with some added groove. Campaigns as large as this are a true cross-team, cross-department effort and it is wonderful to see everyone come together to launch our biggest campaign of the year."

Mark Harrison, Head of Creative at People’s Postcode Lottery, said:

"If our last campaign made your heart sing, this one will make your soul dance. The new campaign builds upon the huge success of our previous two tent poles but with the added dimensions of festive fun and an awesome piece of music that makes everyone smile. Good Times is so apt. I am extremely proud of the team effort and can’t wait to see the effect this work will have on all of our audiences."
