Joga Agency and Climax Media Highlight the Trivial Daily Consequences of Global Warming

Sep. 24, 2024

Most NGOs and climate activists talk about global warming in a global and often alarmist way. Rising waters, forest fires, unbearable temperatures.

With this series of images imagined by the Joga agency, the Climax media addresses the trivial consequences of global warming on our daily lives. Seemingly insignificant consequences that could, however, make our lives a living hell if they were to become long-lasting.

There's no melting ice or tornadoes here, just people in flip-flops, drooling dogs and wet butts. You know, those wet butts that make you afraid to get up for work...

Climax Editorial Director Lauren Boudard said:

We launched the Climax fanzine to prove that you can talk about the climate crisis without screaming in horror or yawning in boredom. That spirit is perfectly reflected in this campaign.”

Editor-in-Chief, Climax Millie Servant said:

When joga approached us with these visuals, we immediately felt they fit perfectly with Climax's DNA and tone, while following in the footsteps of iconic 80s posters, rich in strong manifesto texts and striking visuals.”

Created by joga and post-produced by JRM, the series of prints started running September 5th in France’s premiere football and cultural magazine, So Foot, and one of the country’s biggest lifestyle publications, Society, as well as online.

It will also be exhibited at the end of the month at the Anticipation Festival, an annual event held in Paris, which merges art and ecology, featuring contemporary art exhibitions, performances, live shows, projections, and concerts to raise awareness about environmental issues.
