Heavy Duty Projects Names Zach Pollakoff and Dylan Bostick Partners Expanding Creative Leadership Across Coasts
Oct. 22, 2025
Heavy Duty Projects, the industry-leading music and sound studio trusted by leading brands, agencies, and media companies, today announced the promotion of Zach Pollakoff and Dylan Bostick to Partners. Both have been instrumental in shaping the company’s reputation for distinctive, culturally attuned audio that blends artistic originality with award-winning execution.
Pollakoff, an Emmy Award–winning Executive Creative Producer and Music Supervisor, joined Heavy Duty nearly eight years ago after serving as VP/Senior Music Producer at Grey Group New York. His work has been central to defining the studio’s creative identity and expanding its cultural reach.
Kate Urcioli, Founding Partner and Managing Director of Heavy Duty Projects said:
“Zach and Dylan have been at the heart of Heavy Duty since day one. They’re not just exceptional producers — they’ve pushed the boundaries of how music can move people and set the tone for our culture as a company. Making them partners feels like an obvious and energizing next step.”
Bostick, West Coast Executive Creative Producer and Music Supervisor, has spent the past decade leading many of Heavy Duty’s most ambitious projects, helping elevate both the scope and sound of the studio.
Great Work Defines New Partners:
Pollakoff’s recent highlights include the Fred Armisen-directed Super Bowl spot for Verizon; a mash-up of Lou Reed, Run-DMC, Aerosmith, and Loretta Lynn for Johnnie Walker’s most successful ad to date; and Adweek’s “#1 Holiday Campaign” for Etsy, which reimagined the Mission: Impossible theme by the late Lalo Schifrin. Beyond advertising, he has deepened Heavy Duty’s ties to the wider music community as co-founder of indie label Twosyllable Records and the creative conference Likeminds, both known for spotlighting emerging talent.
Bostick has led music for major brand collaborations with Google, Adobe, and Expedia, as well as producing the original score for Gatorade’s Serena Williams tribute featuring Beyoncé. He has music supervised Super Bowl commercials, Sundance-premiering films, produced original music for Netflix’s hit series Beef, and contributed to Disney’s The Muppets Mayhem — a soundtrack that debuted at #1 on Billboard. A composer and multi-instrumentalist, he brings a creator’s perspective that informs his collaborations with artists, filmmakers, and directors. He won a Guild of Music Supervisors Award for his work on the video game Saints Row.
Together, Pollakoff and Bostick’s work has been honored across the industry — including recognition from Cannes Lions, Clios, AICP, AMP, D&AD, Adweek, and Fast Company. Their combined achievements reflect not only individual excellence but also the collective strength that defines Heavy Duty’s creative philosophy.
Bostick said:
“Heavy Duty has built something special — a reputation for creating not just great music, but genuine culture-pushing moments. As a partner, I'm excited to build on that foundation and expand into new spaces where music and storytelling come together.”
Pollakoff added:
"I'm very proud to work for Heavy Duty, a company deeply embedded in the zeitgeist. I look forward to developing creative music solutions at a high level and helping expand that offering across a wide range of diverse and global audiences.”
Josh Kessler, Founding Partner and CEO at Heavy Duty Projects, said:
“Heavy Duty has always thrived on collaboration and creative risk-taking. Zach and Dylan embody that spirit. Their elevation to partners not only acknowledges their immense contributions to the work, but also ensures the studio’s next chapter is led by people who live and breathe its values.”
