Hackett London and David Gandy Wellwear Announce Collaboration with Campaign from Wonderhood Makers
Nov. 30, 2023
Men’s clothing retailer Hackett London and fashion and lifestyle brand David Gandy Wellwear have unveiled a campaign marking the launch of their new collaboration.
The campaign was created by Wonderhood Studios’ social-first content studio Wonderhood Makers and features hero imagery for online and point-of-sale, a launch film, behind the scenes imagery and additional interview and social assets. The work is the agency’s first for David Gandy Wellwear.
The two British brands have combined their unique abilities to meet the needs of the discerning modern man in a collaboration that caters for men who want more from their clothes. It unites both brands' dedication to form and function with the highest quality fabrics and attention to detail.
Gandy and the Wellwear team have worked with Hackett to develop a collection of 12 pieces of luxury lounge and sleepwear to support living well, and to compliment the timeless style and flair of the Hackett brand. The collaboration merges Hackett London’s modern take on classic, traditional menswear with David Gandy Wellwear’s well-being focused fabric innovation.
David Gandy Wellwear was founded in 2021 by supermodel David Gandy, and the collaboration is the brand’s first. The partnership is a significant one for Gandy personally, as Hackett is one of the first brands he worked with when he started his modelling career over 20 years ago.
Jo Lumb, Managing Partner of Wonderhood Makers, said:
"Through the campaign production, we wanted to visually bring to life the special partnership of these two British brands – combining the rich heritage of Hackett London with the well-being fabric innovation of David Gandy Wellwear. The close collaboration with David Gandy and our photographer Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca throughout production allowed us to realize our creative vision, resulting in a campaign that celebrates the traditional Hackett aesthetic, but through a Wellwear lens.”
David Gandy, Founder and Creative Director of David Gandy Wellwear, said:
"Throughout my career I have always approached everything I do with longevity and authenticity; two values that are synonymous with Hackett London. I have known Jeremy Hackett for many years, Hackett was one of the very first brands I worked with when I started modelling and I have long admired the brand for its rich heritage. I am delighted that as Wellwear’s first collaboration we are partnering with such an esteemed British menswear authority who appreciate the same values that we do. Both brands’ commitment to craftsmanship and quality is second to none, but we approach it from different perspectives which is what makes the collection so unique. Lounge and sleepwear are categories I have an in-depth knowledge of and a history of commercial success in, so I am delighted to bring that expertise to the table along with Wellwear’s innovative approach to uniting the worlds of style and well-being."
Reflecting on the collaboration, Marcella Wartenbergh, CEO of AWWG said:
"We are glad to announce this new collaboration. The fashion and lifestyle brand, David Gandy Wellwear collection, blends seamlessly with Hackett's casual style, tailored for the global citizen with an active social life. Both of our brands share a forward thinking approach, dedicated to delivering refined products to a discerning market. We very much look forward to embarking on this exciting new venture."
The exclusive collection will be available online at www.hackettlondon.com and www.davidgandywellwear.com, and from selected Hackett London stores.
