H/L Ad Agency Punctuates Business Growth by Expanding Creative Team With 9 New Hires

Jul. 02, 2024

Independent ad agency H/L has announced the expansion of its creative team to include nine new hires. This development arrives amid a fluctuating industry environment, which H/L has navigated through strategic hires to support business growth.

By leading Fortune 500 campaigns such as a partnership with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy for Toyota’s NFL campaign, H/L has become a leader in delivering ROI on creative through multicultural, analytics-driven insights. To that end, they received a Silver Effie Award this May for Data-Driven Marketing for their project with Toyota on their Sales Match Back system.

With these nine new hires, H/L strengthens its competitive strategy of recruiting talent offering a local presence and insights across the US. Their goal is to make a measurable, positive impact impact for both their clients and the communities they call home. The new H/L team members boast experience in key verticals such as travel and hospitality, finance and insurance, tech, CPG, media, e-comm, QSR, fashion and beauty, and auto. This new H/L talent includes:

  • Deepak George, Associate Creative Director
  • Nick Kamei & Nhien Nguyen, Senior Art Directors
  • Mikey Arroyo & Daisy Serafini, Art Directors
  • Mark Moran, Copywriter
  • Sally Zhang, Associate Video Producer
  • Jedd Samonte, Motion Graphics Designer and Editor
  • Nate Kristoff, Camera Operator & Editor

This is a continued phase of expansion for H/L, which last year welcomed new hires Ardella Strickel (Design Director), Precious Bautista (Junior Editor), Bryan Abarca (Junior Copywriter), and Hana Kimmelman (Junior Art Director).

VP, Executive Creative Director, Dallas Baker said:

"We always strive to Make Momentum and now that momentum is making us. We’ve experienced an unprecedented year of growth, adding new Creative talent and perspectives at all levels, in locations nationwide."

Since 1985, H/L has been fiercely independent and committed to Make Momentum™. The company’s strengths include local and national media activations, creative development, insights and analytics, full-scale digital and video production, multicultural marketing, and PR. H/L is headquartered in Oakland, California, with people in 22 states and offices in Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix, and St. Louis. What unites H/Lers across the country is a common drive — to pioneer new ways to push clients’ businesses forward and serve their communities.
