Gaming Streamers Skydive 15,000FT in the First Drop from EE

EE and Boomerang’s latest campaign delivers an exhilarating return to Verdansk to mark the re-release of the iconic Call of Duty: Warzone map, five years after its debut. The activation, which forms part of EE’s ambition to become the no.1 destination for gaming, saw popular streamers, Aaron Turner (AaronTheLoco) and friends Bernard Cosgrove, Temitope Agboola and Eoin Hogan recreate the iconic drop into the Verdansk map by skydiving 15,000ft.
In a breathtaking experience, the squad skydived out of a plane, free falling for a full 60 seconds before touching down in a remote location where they streamed themselves playing the map over Twitch using EE broadband and gaming kits from the EE Game Store, the go to destination for UK gamers on any network.
Live from a Call of Duty: Warzone themed hangar, footage of the skydive was shown to viewers on Twitch before the gamers started their own live streams to play on Verdansk map, discuss their jump, enjoy the new gameplay features and reminisce about their gaming sessions from five years ago. Adding to the excitement, bonus in-game giveaways from EE sought to spark further engagement during the live stream.

Created by Boomerang with support from Saatchi & Saatchi, the activation captivated fans’ imagination, rekindling feelings of nostalgia they experienced when the map was originally unveiled. To keep the excitement going, next week, a highlight video will drop across Instagram and TikTok, driving viewers to the EE Game Store for more gaming action.
The EE Game Store offers game-changing kit for gamers on all networks. This social activation is part of a series of new experiences and exclusive drops only available at the EE Game Store.
