Cut+Run Adds Editor Julian Redpath

Cut+Run Adds Editor Julian Redpath

Feb. 18, 2026

Cut+Run is proud to announce that editor Julian Redpath has signed on to its award-winning roster of talent. Recognized for his work on the delightfully surreal "Let There Be Cake" for KFC, which won a Cannes Gold Lion in the Film category, Julian’s storytelling spans VFX-driven, action-packed sequences and lighthearted comedy—often blending the two within a single project.

Julian began editing as a teenager, putting together free-flowing skateboard films with his friends, and later working on documentary-style sports shows while studying television and film. He then took this well-honed skill for shaping a story into commercial editing, where he’s been working ever since. As an editor, Julian isn’t interested in being known for a single style.

He said:

"If your style comes across in everything you do, then you might be getting in the way. The perfect edit should feel effortless. It should be completely in service to the story being told. When you get that right, no one should notice the editing at all–they should feel completely immersed in the story. That’s what I’m always striving for in my work."

On signing with Cut+Run, Julian remarked:

“It’s always been a dream to be repped in the US. Amburr [Farls] saw a piece that I had worked on and reached out. From there, everything just fell into place. Everyone at Cut+Run has been so warm and welcoming. I feel really lucky to be joining such a prestigious shop filled with such lovely people.”

Amburr Farls, Managing Partner of Cut+Run, added:

“Just when you think you understand Julian’s lane, his body of work opens up, stretching across genres and styles with ease. There’s a sense of play and curiosity in every cut, the kind that keeps the work feeling fresh and unpredictable. He’s an undeniable talent with a genuine passion for making great films. I could not be more excited to welcome him to the Cut+Run fam!”
