Comedy Directing Duo BriTANicK has Signed with IMPOSTER for Representation in the US

Pronounced phonetically, like the Titanic, "Bri-TA-NicK" is a portmanteau of Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher’s names. Having gone by this moniker since the 2000s – "now it's too late to change it" – the name is indicative of their comedy chops: as memorable as it is silly.

Coming up in the business alongside fellow NYU grads and sketch comedy siblings, The Lonely Island, BriTANick’s sketches became recurring fixtures on popular sites like CollegeHumor, Cracked, and Funny Or Die. With more than 85 million views, their sketches have helped build a devoted following, thanks to videos like 'Boys Night In', 'Academy Award Winning Movie Trailer', and 'Sexy Pool Party.'

In 2026, their attention has turned to commercial filmmaking, a field they’ve been interested in for some time. Brian and Nick see a natural connection between advertising and sketch comedy: both can deliver hilarious, bite-sized, cinematic treats. And they’re excited to get back to making them.

Nick Kocher said:

“We’ve been making short form comedic content since the ancient days of the internet (2008), and we think a great commercial can hit like a great sketch. It’s a short film you NEED to show your friends and watch over and over again. We want to bring all the style, creativity, and intensity from our sketch comedy background into advertising, and help create ads that work not just from a marketing standpoint but also as your new favourite viral video.”

Avtar Kay, managing director and EP at IMPOSTER, added:

“Brian and Nick have such a distinct comedic voice, and that’s exactly what draws us to filmmakers at IMPOSTER. From their YouTube sketches to SNL and Pizza Movie, they’ve shown that their sensibility can travel across formats while remaining unmistakably theirs. We’re excited to help bring that same originality to commercials.”

The partnership began to take shape in May, when IMPOSTER teamed up with BriTANicK on a Postmates World Cup campaign. According to Avtar, this project gave the duo plenty of room to lean into the sharp, absurdist comedy they’re known for. “The collaboration couldn’t have gone better,” she says, reflecting on the final film, ‘We Get LA’.

BriTANicK added:

“From the moment we met the IMPOSTER team they immediately took us under their wing. During our first project not only did we feel supported, they understood the vision, and laughed at our jokes (or at least pretended to laugh, which still counts!). We appreciate anyone who can get along with our brand of insanity.”
