Charles Tyrwhitt Sponsors Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup on BT Sport
Dec. 14, 2022
Men’s clothing retailer Charles Tyrwhitt has unveiled its partnership with BT Sport, with the creative and TV idents being crafted and developed by independent creative and innovation agency Five by Five, following the recent account win.
The team have produced a 15” opener, 10” closer, and 5” idents to be broadcast across the live Champions Cup and Challenge Cup matches on BT Sport, as well as highlight shows, from 9th December 2022 through to the finals in Dublin on 19th and 20th May 2023.
Each film shows rugby players wearing Charles Tyrwhitt clothes instead of rugby gear with a simple one liner titled over the picture to tie the action back into rugby.
Charles Tyrwhitt are known for formal wear but the idents show the full range of more casual office wear they have to offer.
David Prideaux, ECD at Five By Five said:
"Sam Robinson has made the clothes look stunning and the gags are a simple extension of the Charles Tyrwhitt charm."
This partnership with BT Sport extends the brand’s reach into rugby and builds on the brilliantly successful relationship established over the last few years with England Rugby and with its brand ambassadors in the sport, such as Marcus Smith.
The campaign aims to appeal to rugby fans’ positive hopes for the new year after a tough last one, showcasing clothing that’ll prepare them for a promising social calendar in 2023.
