BSWT Films Signs Three Directing Powerhouses for New Creative Era
Jun. 02, 2026
International production company BSWT Films has bolstered its roster of talent with the signing of three new directors.
The move is aligned with the company's renewed future focus on culture defining work, music-led and concept-driven ideas following their recent rebrand.
The directors are:
Tomás Peña is known for crafting cinematic universes where animation, live action, and experimental storytelling coexist organically. Self-taught and deeply influenced by music, design, and contemporary culture, he has spent more than a decade developing a distinctive visual language that blends emotion, striking imagery, and an eclectic, unexpected aesthetic.
Throughout his career, he has directed campaigns and music videos for international clients, seamlessly moving between animation and live action. His work is instantly recognizable for its magnetic atmospheres, emotionally charged imagery, and visually immersive worlds where the emotional and the sensory always take center stage.
He is also the creator and director of “Romancero”, the acclaimed Amazon Prime original series celebrated for its powerful visual universe and its unique blend of fantasy, horror, and contemporary poetry.
Pedro Pinto is an award-winning Portuguese film director based in Lisbon, internationally recognized for his distinctive visual craft, elevated art direction, and emotionally driven storytelling.
A graduate of the National Film and Television School in London, Pedro’s directing style blends technical virtuosity with an indie, handcrafted sensibility — creating cinematic worlds that feel vibrant, modern, and emotionally resonant, often infused with subtle humour and unexpected visual details.
Over the last years, he has directed international campaigns for globally recognized brands including Google, Jeep, Amazon, and McDonald’s.
Joaquín Luna is a Spain-based director and photographer working internationally across music videos, fashion films, and commercial projects.
His work combines elegant cinematography, intimate atmospheres, and a modern, culturally connected visual language that resonates across both mainstream and independent music scenes.
His multidisciplinary approach - balancing direction, photography, fashion, and narrative - allows him to create visually immersive pieces where aesthetics and emotion coexist naturally.
Juan San Roman, founder & executive producer BSWT Films said:
"We’re building a company shaped by talent, craft, and the distinctive vision of our directors. Welcoming Tomás Peña, Pedro Pinto and Joaquín Luna is more than an expansion of our directing talent - it’s a reflection of our belief in filmmakers who are pushing visual storytelling forward through deeply personal and original perspectives. Each of them brings a unique voice, a strong sense of authorship, and a way of seeing the world that feels both contemporary and timeless. Together, they represent the kind of creative energy we want BSWT to stand for."
