Apr. 03, 2025

Blurr Bureau, an award-winning brand strategy and design firm that crafts brand strategies and premium design experiences with precision and speed, announced Laura Carrick as its new Growth and Marketing director. Carrick brings a 15-year history in the creative industry—working both brand and agency side—with experience in bringing brands to life through leveraging strategic marketing and brand experience.

Having honed her expertise in Melbourne, Australia, Carrick moved to New York City in 2021 to join Shillington Graphic Design School as the global head of Marketing and Communications. In 2024, Jones Knowles Ritchie New York (JKR), a global branding agency, named Carrick senior growth manager, working across new business in the USA and UK.

Carrick points to a career-long, deep love for clients:

“I find my inspiration in others, particularly founders with a vision to disrupt the category/industry. I love branding and design because I think it’s deeply impactful in every aspect of our lives.”

She further notes that her main strength is an intuitive empathy for clients:

“I've had the privilege of working with both agile startups and established businesses, gaining valuable insights from both ends of the spectrum. I take a deeply immersive approach with clients—understanding their challenges firsthand and providing strategic solutions that drive meaningful impact.”

At Blurr Bureau, Carrick’s responsibilities include new business and organic client growth with a focus on key industries such as CPG, B2B, hospitality, and VC & PE firms for innovative start-up brand opportunities.

Jessica Dimcevski, founder and CCO at Blurr said:

“Blurr operates at the intersection of established corporations and the dynamic founder and challenger space—both in our own positioning and in the clients we collaborate with. It’s essential that the person helping me grow Blurr understands both ends of this spectrum, seamlessly navigating strategy and innovation. Above all, they must balance intellect with intuition, leading with empathy in every decision they make. When you meet Laura, her warmth is the first thing you notice, and her optimism and empathy are always at the table.”
