Amie Chan Named Partner/Head of Strategy at Barrett

Full-service advertising agency Barrett has hired Amie Chan as its Head of Strategy, Founder & ECD Jamie Barrett announced. Chan is also an agency partner.
Amie will lead the integrated insights and strategic planning group at Barrett to uncover fresh and innovative insights/business opportunities, inspire great creative across all accounts, and help to drive much of the agency’s new business.
President Matt Hofherr said:
"Amie has developed effective marketing campaigns based on strong consumer insights here in the states and in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. She is a world-class talent and we're thrilled to call her our partner."
Most recently, Chan was VP, Group Planning Director at FCB West. She has spent more than 18 years working at integrated communications agencies such as McCann, Wieden + Kennedy, and DDB on global accounts like McDonald’s, Nike and Unilever. Born and bred in the UK, she spent much of her ad career in Asia focusing on consumer driven insights to drive brand relevance and growth in emerging markets.
As a strategist, Chan is all about people and their why, understanding what makes people tick and how brands make them feel. Connecting these insights to the power of brands helps inspire great creative and business results.
Chan said:

Since moving to the "best coast," she’s become a surfer, mom and can be found park hopping at the weekends.
Barrett, founded in 2012, is a full-service advertising agency based in San Francisco with satellite offices in Minneapolis and Los Angeles. Client partners include Asics, Activision, Bitly, Chime, eBay, Gong and Sutter Health.
