Ad of the Day | StreetEasy Reassures New Yorkers "It's Okay to Look"
Feb. 27, 2020
Leading real estate platform, StreetEasy, has launched a new campaign in partnership with Austin creative agency, Preacher. ‘It’s Okay to Look,’ is an OOH city-takeover running across NYC subways, kiosks, taxi tops, buses, billboards and wild postings that comes to life through alluring headlines and pulp noir style illustrations created in by renowned New York artist, Sam Spratt. The ads tap into the apartment realities and fantasies that many New Yorkers experience, reigniting the excitement and possibility a new home search can unlock and encouraging people to sneak a peek at what could be with StreetEasy as their gateway.
‘It’s Okay to Look’ is StreetEasy’s sixth ad campaign (its first with Preacher as its new AOR). It follows StreetEasy’s 2019 campaign ‘There’s Only One City’.
Started in 2006, StreetEasy is the go-to platform to help New Yorkers find a new home. Used more than any other local real estate platform, StreetEasy brings together the most comprehensive set of vetted and verified listings across the five boroughs and New Jersey paired with intuitive search features, accessible market data and educational content to help New Yorkers navigate the complex real estate market of NYC.
StreetEasy’s senior director of marketing Amory Wooden said:
Our new campaign taps into a New York City truism: New Yorkers are always looking for their next place to live. ‘It’s Okay to Look’ encourages New Yorkers to look at what else is out there and to fantasise about everything their future home could have. We wanted to capture the easily forgotten excitement and opportunity an apartment search can unlock, and bring some much needed energy and levity back to the apartment hunt.”
